Giving Back to Olathe and Greater KC
At Kansas Kids Dental, we have a clearly stated mission. We believe all children deserve access to high quality dental care in a fun and upbeat environment, regardless of their family income. This mission is weaved throughout our business and guides decision-making daily.
This mission is more than a sign on the wall, it’s part of our pledge to step out of our practice and make connections in our community. We bring our mission to life in our community through our Caring4Community program.
Our Caring4Community campaign offers nonprofit organizations and schools a chance to win money to support their programs as well as spread awareness of their mission and financial needs.
Since the development of this program in 2022, our Caring4Community winners have included Gardner Gold Special Olympics, Crossroad Trails, Growing Futures Early Education Center, SOAR Special Needs, Creative Emajinations, Crossroad Trails Education Center, Mizzou Jr Tigers, Mothers Refuge, and a Turning Point. Together with our KC Dentistry 4 Kids location in Gladstone, we’ve donated $15,000 in Caring4Community funds to the schools and community organizations selected by the popular vote of our community members.
Beyond the Contest
As we continue to grow, our intention is for Caring4Community to be more than this single campaign.
Caring4Community is the partnerships we build with schools and family organizations all year long, the families we sponsor over the holidays, the students that benefit from our mobile dentistry program, the toothbrushes and dental hygiene supplies we donate, the volunteerism of our doctors and team, the free and reduced-cost dentistry we provide, and so much more. It’s being a practice that cares for our community while caring for our patients.
Throughout each Caring4Community effort, big or small, our goal is to thread stronger relationships and create positive change in the communities we serve.
Our compassionate team members are always seeking opportunities to engage with our community, whether its teaching children the importance of keeping their teeth healthy in a fun way, making hygiene kits for women’s shelters, or offering support to a youth sports team. Each year, we provide free and reduced-cost dental care to dozens of families through our partnerships with local Head Start centers. We partner with insnurance plans to increase access to preventative dentistry in rural areas, traveling hours to provide dental services to those who otherwise may not be able to access them.

- Focus: Special Olympics Training & Competition
- Mission: To provide year round training and athletic competition in a variety of well-coached Olympic-type sports activities for individuals with special needs.
- Activities: Basketball, Cheerleading, Skiing, Bocce, Track & Field, Soccer, Bowling, Softball, Golf, Fishing, & Swimming
- By providing our athletes with the continuing opportunity to develop physical and mental fitness, we find it helps to prepare them for entry into school and community programs. The joy they experience while participating, making friends, and sharing experiences is unsurpassed in other areas of their lives.
- Awarded $3,500 for their 1st place finish in Caring4Community Fall 2022!!
